Update on the Newton Show

Well, over the weekend, I did the annual Newton Garage Sale... This year, they added crafters to the venue.  The day started off slow, but in the last hour, my table was packed with people.  I'm glad I wasn't one of those Vendors who packed up early.  I made my most money in the last hour and the show was worth while.  Plus, I scored an end table for my porch for free at the end of the show.  I love yard sales/garage sales.  I always kind find interesting things that I can incorporate into my crafts.  Plus, I got two more shows out of it.  Two people came up to me and asked if I would be interested in becoming a vendor at there events in the future.  I love it!  I'm so busy.  So here is my update of shows:

April 6 - Picatinny Arsenal 10-2pm (sorry folks, only base employees can attend)
April 17, 2010 - St. Jude's Church - Hopatcong, NJ  11-5pm
May 8, 2010 -WEC International - Fort Washington, PA -10-6pm

I will be doing the Arsenal Shows once a month from here on out, most likely on Tuesdays and Thursdays, since those are my days off from work.

My home show flyers should be going out shortly and I should have more information on that as soon as I possibly can.  I've been busy with my two shows the past two weeks and haven't crafted, so today I started again, so from here on out, everyday, I will be crafting getting ready for my future events and home show's as well.  Check back soon, I will update you on what my specials will be.... I have decided to run a special for each show that I do starting with the April 17th show... I will have one item on special the entire day.  Each show will have a different special.  I figure with Mother's Day coming, I wanted to have a craft available that a small child could afford to purchase if need be.  So the specials are on, I just need to make the cards now!  Ok, off to bed I go.   I need to add pictures, I think I will throw a few in...... Good Night All

Home Shows - Book Yours Now

I have decided to add Home Shows to my crafting business.  I have had so many requests for them that I decided to go with it.  If you are interested in booking a show, please email me at woody452@gmail.com as they are booking up fast.

I have planned a very attractive incentive for any hostess.  You will earn a free gift just for hosting a show.  There is no minimum number of attendees for your event.  This is one reason why I was never a fan of hosting  home shows, sometimes it's hard to find 10 people to invite or have attend.  Even if it's only one or two people, you may still have a showing with me.

My sales tier is more liberal as well.

Total Purchases:

$10.00-$49.99 - Hostess receives 10% off her total order
$50.00-$99.99 - Hostess receives 20% off her total order plus one free gift
$100.00 - $149.99 - Hostess receives 30% off her total order plus one free gift
$150.00 Plus - Hostess receives 40% off her total order plus two free gifts

Your free gift will be of your choice from a select number of items.
I will also have booking gifts for both the hostess and the hostess to be.

I feel that in this economy, it's hard to have a $150.00 show in order to receive something out of it.  I have made my sales tier lower in hopes that everyone can enjoy having a party and receiving incentives for having it without breaking their banks.  My crafts are fabulous, inexpensive gifts that anyone would appreciate receiving.
Most items are cash and carry, however, I will have a catalog available with items that can be ordered or custom made.  Personalization is available on any item for an additional $1.00.  Gift wrapping and shipping are also available for that busy, on the go person.  So call me now to book your party!

Craft Fair update

Well, Today was the Netcong Craft Fair, and the turnout wasn't the best, probably since it was such a beautiful day today, but I did pretty well for my second show.  My best sellers where my Puppy Dog Easter Baskets.  They were so darn cute, I will upload a picture of them tomorrow.  I'm so tired and wiped from today, that I am now watching New Moon and eating Sushi.... the perfect end to a great day.  Happy Crafting!

New Venture - www.countrykissdtreasures.com

Welcome to my blog!  I am new at this, so go easy on me as I figure this out.

I have been crafting since I was a young child and received my first coloring book and crayons.  I always loved playing with scissors and glue. I started scrapbooking about 10 years ago to showcase the wonderful times I had with my husband and stepdaughter.  Now that my stepdaughter is 18, and no longer wants to go on outings with me and her dad anylonger (we are old now, LOL)  I slowed down on scrapbooking and started to focus on making greeting cards and altered items.  I wanted to use my paper crafting tools out trying to make gifts for people.  My husband is my biggest supporter and has been bugging me for years to open a store.  Well, I haven't opened a brick and mortar one yet, I have started selling items online and at craft fairs.

After much hard work by my friend Kim, her and I have formed a partnership and out of it, Country Kiss'd Treasures was born.  Our site is now up and running and available to anyone who crafts and wants to sell online.  We build your shop for you to sell all of your handcrafted items in.  Check it out, www.countrykissdtreasures.com

As for the craft fairs, I was a vendor at my first one in December.  Well, let me tell you, it was quite a learning experience.  There were about 50 crafters and we were jammed into this tiny room.  Being my first one, I had no idea what to expect.  I sat there all day with my husband (who by the way, enjoyed it and plans to come to all of my fairs, aren't I lucky!) and made about $92.00.... It wasn't well advertised, but I had no idea what questions to ask when I applied for this show.  I came home and jumped online and read.... and read.... and read.   Now, I'm not saying that I have it all down pat, but I certainly did learn a lot from others online.  I have expanded my line of craft items from 3 to about 23 and I have a list of other items I will be adding into the mix as time goes by.

I'm so excited, about my craft fair ventures for this upcoming year.  My next show will be at the Netcong High School, Netcong, New Jersey on March 20, 2010.... I will be adding pictures to my blog of my table and my items for sale.  I also have another fair on March 27, 2010 at Newton High School, Newton New Jersey.  This fair is a combination garage sale/vendor show for the Class of 2011's Fundraiser.

And my further out shows are:

May 1, 2010 - Sussex County Technical School, Sparta, NJ
May 15, 2010 - St. James School - Gouverneur, NY
July 17, 2010 - Tupper Lake Street Fest and Business Expo, Tupper Lake NY

I will be adding more shortly...and don't forget to check out www.countrykissdtreasures.com
